Menicon Progent 7 Treatments

Menicon Progent® Protein Remover is designed for deep cleaning of gas permeable (RGP) and large diameter scleral contact lenses. Regular protein removal is recommended to help maintain comfort, support eye health, and extend the usable life of gas permeable lenses.

Progent® removes surface protein deposits by soaking the lenses for just 30 minutes. The solution loosens and eliminates deposits without the need for mechanical rubbing or abrasive polishing methods used in traditional cleaning processes. This allows for effective protein removal while simplifying lens care routines.

Menicon Progent® is compatible with all RGP contact lenses. When used with the Progent® Large Diameter (Scleral) Lens Case, it is suitable for lenses with diameters from 11 mm to 23 mm. The non-vented barrel-style lens case features a clear polycarbonate cylinder, an ABS screw cap, and lens baskets marked “L” and “R” for proper lens identification. The case holds 10 mL of the mixed Progent® A/B solution required for effective cleaning.

Progent® treatments are generally recommended every two weeks, depending on lens condition and according to the guidance of an eye care professional (up to a maximum of every five days). Menicon Progent® should not be used on lenses treated with Tangible Hydra-PEG, as the coating may be damaged. All containers clearly labeled with lot numbers and expiration dates.
