DMV Luma-Serter Plus Contact Lens Insertion Tool

The Luma-Serter Plus is a contact lens inserter designed to assist with the accurate and controlled placement of contact lenses. It is used by attaching it to the illuminated end of a penlight or placing it on the end of a finger, if preferred.

The angled cup securely holds the contact lens in the center, and the ribs inside the cup provide additional guidance and an elevated resting surface. These ribs also help prevent the lens from sticking to the device. When used with a penlight, the illuminated center serves as a visual guide to gently move the lens toward the open eye.

Once the lens adheres to the cornea, simply withdraw the Luma-Serter Plus, as there is no suction. A built-in light filter prevents contact lens solution from passing through to the penlight. The device is contoured to fit the end of most penlights.

Clean the Luma-Serter Plus with alcohol after each use and allow it to air dry. Replacement is recommended after six months of use. The device contains dry natural rubber but does not contain liquid latex. It is not recommended for use with diseased or injured eyes, and it should be kept away from small children and liquids, such as hand cream, hair gel, and nail polish remover.
