The S5 Inserter (S5 Mini™) was developed by optometrist Dr. Fayiz Mahgoub to address common challenges patients face when inserting scleral and hybrid contact lenses. This compact device is intended to enhance comfort, control, and confidence during lens insertion.

It features hands-free lens stabilization, which enables users to hold their eyelids open with one hand while inserting the lens with the other. This counteracts the natural blink reflex and reduces spillage of the insertion solution, lowering the chance that air bubbles will become trapped under the lens.

A built-in LED light source enhances visibility, helping users more easily align their eye with the center of the lens for a more precise and efficient process.

The S5 Inserter is designed for convenience with a compact form factor suitable for use at home or on the go. The height from the base of the device to the top of the lens holder is 5.5 inches (14 cm), and the design is optimized for comfortable lens insertion.
