Description

ScleralFil™ Preservative-Free Saline Solution is a sterile, buffered, isotonic saline solution intended for rinsing and inserting contact lenses. It is designed specifically for scleral lens insertion and for rinsing soft (hydrophilic), rigid gas-permeable, hard, and large-diameter scleral lenses.

ScleralFil™ contains boric acid, sodium borate, and sodium chloride in purified water. It contains no preservatives or mercury-containing ingredients, such as chlorhexidine or thimerosal, to which some individuals may be sensitive.

When used after proper lens disinfection, ScleralFil™ helps remove loosened debris and traces of daily cleaner while keeping lenses wet during handling. It is intended for rinsing contact lenses prior to insertion, filling scleral lenses before insertion, rinsing contact lens cases, and rinsing lenses throughout the day as advised by an eye care practitioner.

ScleralFil™ is intended for single use only and should be discarded after each use. Since it contains no preservatives, it should not be used as an eye drop. Always follow the instructions for use, and consult your eye care professional for guidance on proper lens care.
