The DMV Lumaserter Plus is a contact lens inserter designed for scleral and hybrid lenses, helping guide the lens onto the cornea during application.
The DMV Lumaserter Plus is a contact lens insertion device designed for scleral and hybrid lenses. It fits onto the end of most penlights, or it can be placed on the end of a finger. When used with a penlight, the illuminated center of the contoured cup provides visual guidance during lens placement.
To use it, place the contact lens in the center of the contoured cup and, if applicable, turn on the penlight. Then, gently move the lens toward the open eye. Hold the eyelids open with the other hand and place the lens on the cornea. Once the lens adheres to the eye, remove the DMV Lumaserter Plus.
The ribbed design of the cup offers additional guidance, increased surface area to support the lens, and helps prevent the lens from sticking to the device. Frequently clean the Lumaserter Plus with warm, soapy water and allow it to air dry.
Keep this product away from liquids, such as hand creams, hair gels, and nail polish remover. Keep out of reach of small children. This product is not recommended for use on diseased or injured eyes. While there are no known allergy issues associated with this product, it contains dry natural rubber, which can cause allergic reactions.
